Revamped VW Amarok wins six-cylinder engine

equipped with a V6 3.0 turbodiesel option.






Volkswagen showed renewed Amarok, which will go on sale towards the end of this year with a new V6 3.0 TDI turbodiesel with versions of 163, 204 and 224 hp. This block, only to be available by the time of launch, operate in conjunction with an automatic eight-speed (with manual option in some versions). In addition, there will be rear-wheel drive option and four wheel 4Motion with Torsen differential. In the most powerful version, the new generation engine allows a maximum torque of 550 Nm (130 Nm more over the predecessor) at 1500 rpm. Reported consumption is 7.6 l / 100 km and 199 g / km of CO2 emissions.


Series will be available in pick-up the Servotronic steering system, lighter and larger brake discs (17-inch front and 16-inch rear). It will also be integrated into the new safety equipment model: post-collision braking and the Park Distance Control system, which uses aid camera Parking optional. Aesthetically, the new model brings a new bumpers, redesigned headlights and larger wheels. Inside there is a dashboard with a new look. According to VW, the new model now can tow 3.5 tonnes instead of 3.2.
